Why barre

Barre Is More Than a Workout.

Barre combines small, controlled movements with strength, balance, posture, mobility, and core work. It is low-impact by design and endlessly adaptable — which is exactly why it works for a room full of people at completely different starting points.

01

Strength

Build functional strength through controlled resistance and repetitive movements you can feel outside the studio.

02

Core

Develop core stability and body awareness that supports everything from lifting to standing tall.

03

Balance

Improve balance, coordination, and posture with steady, deliberate work at the barre.

04

Mobility

Increase flexibility and range of motion through intentional, well-cued movement.

Our classes

Eight ways to meet the barre.

Every class lists its difficulty, duration, intensity, and recommended experience so you can choose honestly — and change your mind next week.

Barre for every body

Your Body Belongs at the Barre.

You do not need to be a dancer, naturally thin, flexible, young, or already athletic to take a class here. You need shoes off, grip socks on, and a willingness to try.

Every movement is taught with multiple levels of intensity and offered modifications — a lighter option, a heavier option, a chair or the barre for support. Instructors give those options to the whole room, so nobody is singled out for taking them.

Strong looks different on everyone.

Specialized programs

Built around real starting points.

Whether you're brand new, returning after a break, training around a past injury, or moving through a season of change, there's a path in.

Beginners

Start in Foundations with terminology, positions, and zero pressure to keep up with anyone else.

Adults 50+

Balance, bone-friendly strength work, and joint-comfortable modifications in a dedicated class.

Former Athletes

Rebuild controlled strength, mobility, balance, and movement confidence — recovery-minded, not competitive.

Prenatal

Modified sequencing for clients with provider clearance, focused on stability and comfort.

Postnatal

A gradual return to movement rebuilding core stability, posture, and strength at your pace.

Plus-Size Clients

Props, spacing, and modifications so every position is accessible and genuinely comfortable.

Mobility & Balance

Range-of-motion and stability work for anyone who wants to move more easily day to day.

Low-Impact Fitness

Cardiovascular conditioning that stays kind to knees, hips, and backs.

Private Instruction

One-on-one coaching for specific goals, returning from a break, or learning in a quieter setting.

Safety-first onboarding

Start With Your Health.

Before your first class, we ask every new client to complete a short health and fitness readiness questionnaire. It takes about four minutes.

What we ask about

Current activity level, previous exercise experience, recent injuries or surgeries, chronic conditions, balance concerns, pregnancy or postpartum status, medications that may affect exercise tolerance, current pain, cardiovascular concerns, physician restrictions, your goals, and an emergency contact.

What it isn't

The screening does not diagnose medical conditions, and completing it does not mean you have been medically cleared to exercise. It is intended to identify situations where additional professional guidance may be appropriate. If your responses suggest that, we'll ask you to consult your healthcare provider and obtain appropriate clearance before participating.

From our clients

Strong, steady, and still showing up.

Client stories from across the schedule — first-timers, 50+ members, former athletes, and new parents.

I hadn't exercised in nine years and I was convinced I'd be the only person there who couldn't keep up. Nobody looked at me sideways. I've been three times a week since February.

Dana R.

Member since 2024

I'm 63. I came for balance and stayed for the people. My posture is better and I feel steadier on stairs, which was the whole point.

Ruth K.

Barre 50+

Coming from ten years of rugby, I expected barre to be easy. It humbled me. My hips and ankles move so much better now.

Marcus T.

Barre Sculpt

As a plus-size beginner I've been in rooms where I felt like a project. Here I'm just a client. The modifications are offered to everyone, not singled out.

Priya S.

Classic Barre

Postnatal barre gave me a place to rebuild slowly without anyone rushing me. Six months in, I feel like myself again.

Elena M.

Postnatal Barre

The consistency is what surprised me. I've never stuck with a workout this long, and honestly it's because the instructors know my name.
